Curbside Recycling
Recycling
Jacksonville residents can now recycle more items than ever, and there’s no need to pre-sort or remove labels from bottles and cans. Cart Information
Delivery of Cart
For safety reasons, the cart delivery trucks will be delivering on one side of the street at a time. It may take a few days for the delivery trucks to get to your home. Please call 630-CITY (2489) if you haven’t received a cart. These carts should not be used before March 7 and may not be used for garbage or yard waste at any time.
Cart Size
All ADS residential customers will receive a 96-gallon, wheeled cart. We strongly encourage customers to use this cart for at least 60 days to determine if the capacity is adequate. After the 60-day trial period, customers may request a smaller, 64-gallon cart. The swap will be made free of charge only once. Requests may be made online at 630city.coj.net using the following description: Advanced Disposal Services (ADS) Only – Recycle Cart Request, or by calling 630-CITY (2489).
Additional Carts
Residents that require more than one recycle cart may purchase additionl carts for $65 each. Additional carts may be ordered online at 630city.coj.net using the following description: Advanced Disposal Services (ADS) Only – Recycle Cart Request, or by calling 630-CITY (2489). Recycling overflow will not be collected if it is not in an automated recycling service cart.
Spillage from Carts
To prevent spillage, all recycling materials should fit in the cart with the lid fully closed. If debris is left behind due to improper containment, it will be the resident’s responsibility to clean up.
Customers should report damaged carts online at 630city.coj.net using the following description: Advanced Disposal Services (ADS) Only – Recycle Cart Request, or by calling 630-CITY (2489). It is important that the damage is described in detail so the hauler can determine if the cart should be repaired or replaced. There may be a replacement charge if the cart is damaged due to misuse.
Lost or Stolen Carts
Any carts found outside of its designated service areas will be collected.
Customers with Disabilities
Special accommodations may be made for customers with disabilities. To find out if you qualify, please schedule a home visit by calling 630-CITY (2489).
